Carnilove Freeze-Dried Snack Turkey with Catnip - 40g

Carnilove Freeze-Dried Snack Turkey is about as close to raw meat as a shelf-stable cat treat gets: 95% fresh turkey, freeze-dried rather than cooked.

Freeze-drying removes the water without heat, so the volatile aroma compounds survive. That matters far more for cats than for dogs — a cat with any degree of nasal congestion, or simply an old cat with a fading sense of smell, will often refuse food it can no longer smell. An intensely aromatic treat is one of the more reliable ways to get such a cat interested.

Turkey is the leaner of the two options in this range, useful for a cat watching its weight. The catnip lifts palatability, and the psyllium is a genuinely functional inclusion — a soluble fibre that helps swallowed hair pass through the gut rather than come back up as a hairball.

Analytical Constituents

Feeding Guide

• A complementary food. Feed in addition to a complete daily diet, not instead of it.
• Treats should make up no more than 10% of your cat's daily calories. At 4,880 kcal/kg these are very energy dense — a 4 kg cat needs roughly 200 to 250 kcal a day in total, so a few grams goes a long way.
• Reduce the main meal on days you treat generously.
• Always provide fresh drinking water. Freeze-dried food contains almost none.

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place.
• Reseal the bag after each use. Freeze-dried food draws in moisture from the air once open.
