Farmina N&D Prime Lamb & Blueberry Adult Dry Cat Food - 1.5kg

The Farmina N&D Prime Lamb & Blueberry Adult Dry Cat Food is the lamb version of Farmina's grain-free adult cat food — a useful alternative if your cat has been eating chicken or fish for years and you want to rotate the protein.

Key Features

• Fresh boneless lamb (28%) and dried lamb (26%) lead, with fresh and dried herring, dried egg and herring oil
• Analytical constituents: 42% protein, 20% fat, 1.8% fibre, 8.9% ash, 8% moisture, 1.6% calcium, 1.3% phosphorus, 0.11% magnesium
• Omega-6 at 3.4% and omega-3 at 0.9%
• Grain-free and sweet potato-based, with pea fibre, inulin and fructo-oligosaccharides
• Dried blueberry (0.5%), orange, apple, pomegranate, spinach, carrot, lucerne, psyllium (0.3%) and turmeric root (0.2%)
• Glucosamine at 1,200 mg/kg and chondroitin sulphate at 900 mg/kg
• Made by Farmina, an Italian pet-food company based at Nola, near Naples

Feeding

• Feed to the table printed on the bag, by weight and activity, and weigh the portion rather than scooping it
• Change over across about seven days, mixing a little more of the new food in each day. A sudden switch usually means loose stools
• Can be fed alone or alongside wet food — cut the dry portion back to match
• Always leave fresh, clean drinking water available

Storage

• Store in a cool, dry place and reseal the bag after each use. Grain-free kibble is high in fat and goes stale once air reaches it

Good To Know

• Contains herring and dried egg as well as lamb. If you are rotating proteins to manage a suspected sensitivity, that matters
• Grain-free is a formulation choice, not a medical one. Most pets digest grain perfectly well, and a suspected food allergy needs a vet-supervised elimination diet rather than a switch to grain-free
• Weigh the daily ration. Dry cat food is energy-dense and indoor cats are very easy to overfeed
• Cats on dry food alone drink less water than they need. Wet food alongside, or a fountain, helps — it matters most for male cats, which are the group prone to urinary blockage
• The full composition and the current feeding table are printed on the bag. Farmina revises recipes from time to time, so the pack is the binding version
