Georplast Beta Pet Food Placemat - 45x35cm - white

The Georplast Beta Pet Food Placemat is the larger, rectangular placemat in the range - big enough to take a food and a water bowl side by side with room left over for the mess.

Key Features

• 45 x 35cm rectangular
• Fits two bowls side by side, which the round Alfa does not
• BPA-free plastic that Georplast rate as pet safe
• Embossed paw and bone pattern with a matte finish
• Suits dogs as well as cats
• Three colours: Blue, Grey and White
• All three colours are currently out of stock

Why A Feeding Mat Earns Its Place

• Cats and dogs both push bowls while they eat. A mat gives the bowl somewhere to sit and catches what goes over the edge
• It makes the mess one thing to pick up and rinse rather than a floor to wipe
• It also marks the feeding spot, which matters more than people expect - animals settle faster at a place they recognise
• Keep food and water bowls away from the litter tray. Cats in particular will eat less if the two are close together

Round Or Rectangular

• The rectangular Beta at 45x35cm is the one for a dog, for two bowls, or for a messy eater
• The round Alfa at 32.5cm is neater where space is tight and one bowl is enough
• Neither is non-slip on its own - Georplast design them to be used with non-slip bowls

Who Makes It

• Georplast s.r.l. is an Italian manufacturer founded in 1970, based at Mezzago just outside Milan
• They injection-mould their own plastic rather than buying it in, and the whole pet range is made in Italy
• Design is done with an Italian studio, which is why the trays and carriers look less utilitarian than most of the category

Good To Know

• Wipe it down daily with the bowls
• Not a chew toy. Replace it if a dog starts working at the edges
• Colours vary by batch and the photograph is a guide. Pick on size first - the colour is the part that matters least to the cat
