Hobby UV Vital LED UVB Terrarium Lamp, 3 W

The Hobby UV Vital LED is a 3 W LED bulb that gives off UV-B light for terrarium reptiles, and screws into an ordinary E27 lamp holder.

Key Features

• UV-B From An LED: supplies UV-B in a small, low-wattage bulb.
• No Ballast Needed: runs in any standard E27 socket, such as a Hobby clamp lamp.
• Short Working Distance: Hobby measure about 33 µW/cm² of UV-B at around 10 cm from the animal, falling to about 10 at 20 cm.
• For Low UV Needs: Hobby recommend it mainly for tropical reptiles with low to average UV-B requirements.

Good To Know

• Because the UV-B drops off quickly with distance, place the basking spot within about 10-20 cm of the bulb.
• It is a UV source, not a heat source. Use it alongside a basking or heat lamp.
• Desert species with high UV-B needs usually need a stronger UV lamp.
• Do not look directly into the bulb.
