Howbone Training Star Meaty Dog Treats - 75g

Howbone Training Star Meaty Dog Treats - 75g is a pouch of small star-shaped training treats with a crunchy outside and a softer centre. Howbone builds them around a short list of meaty ingredients and positions them as a low-fat reward you can hand out repeatedly through a session.

Key Features

• Crunchy then soft: the two textures hold a dog's interest better than a treat that is the same all the way through.
• Small and uniform: star pieces are easy to hold a handful of and pass over one at a time without fumbling.
• Meaty recipe: built on a short list of meat ingredients, which is usually what gets a dog's attention in a distracting place.
• Low fat: Howbone describes these as a low-fat reward, which helps when a session runs long.
• Easy on digestion: the brand describes the recipe as gentle on the gut, which matters for a treat given repeatedly.

Good To Know

• Treats are extra calories. Keep them to roughly a tenth of what your dog eats in a day and take the difference off the main meal.
• Introduce any new treat over a few days. A sudden change can give a dog loose stools even when nothing is wrong with the food.
• These are a complementary treat and do not replace a complete food.
• Press the pack closed again after each use and keep it somewhere cool and dry. Left open, these dry out and lose the smell that makes a dog want them.
• If you are working through a long session, weigh out a portion first rather than reaching into the bag each time.
