Little One Snack Yummy Branches With Kiwi And Apple - 35g

Little One Snack Yummy Branches With Kiwi And Apple - 35g is a 35g pack of Little One's branch chews with dried kiwi and apple worked onto them.

Key Features

• Branch and fruit: a wood chew carrying dried kiwi and apple, so the animal works at the wood to get the fruit.
• Tooth wear: the branch underneath is doing the same job as a plain one, which the fruit only makes more interesting.
• Vitamin C from kiwi: kiwi is a genuinely good source, which is worth something to a guinea pig that cannot make its own.
• 35g pack: a treat-sized pack.

Offering Them

• One branch at a time, and not every day; the fruit is the sugary part.
• Hold it in a hay rack or prop it so the animal has to work at an angle rather than lying down with it.
• For a guinea pig, fresh bell pepper does more for vitamin C than any dried fruit, so treat this as a treat.

Good To Know

• Dried fruit is concentrated sugar, which is why this is an occasional chew rather than part of the daily ration.
• A chew is an extra rather than a meal. Keep all treats together to a small part of the day's food so they do not push out hay.
• Introduce anything new in a small amount and watch the droppings for a day or two before giving more.
• Check it before you give it. Dried plant material should feel dry and smell clean; anything that has gone soft or musty in the humidity here goes in the bin rather than in the cage.
• Keep the pack closed and dry, away from heat.
