Purina Pro Plan Medium Puppy Healthy Start Chicken Dry Dog Food - 3KG

PURINA PRO PLAN Medium Puppy Healthy Start with OPTISTART is a complete dry food for medium breed puppies. The distinguishing ingredient is dried colostrum, the first milk a bitch produces, which is naturally rich in antibodies. Purina include it because the period after weaning is when a puppy's own immune system is taking over from its mother's, and that handover is where puppies are most vulnerable.

At 30% protein and 405 kcal/100 g it carries the energy density a growing puppy needs without being so rich that growth is pushed too fast.

Feeding Guide

• Puppy feeding amounts depend on both current age and expected adult weight, so the full chart on the back of the pack is the one to follow rather than a single figure.
• Split the daily ration across three to four meals for young puppies, reducing to two as they mature.
• Kibble can be softened with a little warm water during weaning.
• Avoid overfeeding. Growing too quickly puts strain on developing joints.
• Keep fresh drinking water available at all times.
• When switching from another food, transition gradually over about 7 days.

Storage

• Reseal the bag after each use and store in a cool, dry place.
