Description
The Exotic Nutrition Acacia Gum Powder is pure acacia gum powder — the dried sap of the acacia tree, which wild sugar gliders spend much of the night feeding on.
Key Features
- Single ingredient: pure acacia gum
- Mixes with water into a gum paste
- Gives gliders, marmosets and tamarins the gum-feeding behaviour they would use in the wild
- Chewing and licking gum is a natural foraging activity, not just a food
- 4 oz (113 g)
How To Use
- Mix one part powder with one part water — a teaspoon of each is a typical serving
- Adjust the water to get the consistency you want, from runny to thick paste
- Serve in a dish, or smear it into a hollow branch or foraging toy so your pet has to work for it
Guaranteed Analysis
- Crude protein (min) 0.8%
- Crude fat (min) 0.3%
- Crude fibre (max) 8.0%
- Moisture (max) 2.0%
Good To Know
- Keep this to under about 20% of the daily diet, two or three times a week
- Acacia gum is a carbohydrate source, not a protein one — it supplements a balanced diet, it does not replace it
- Overfeeding treats causes weight gain. If your pet goes off its main food, stop the treats until it is eating normally again
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Always leave fresh, clean drinking water available
