Description
The Exotic Nutrition New World Primate Diet is a high-protein concentrate in an easy-to-hold stick shape, formulated for small New World monkeys at all life stages.
Key Features
- Formulated for marmosets, tamarins and capuchins
- High protein level, with vitamin D3 — New World primates need markedly more D3 than Old World species
- Stick shape about 1 x 1/4 x 1/4 in, easy for small hands to hold
- Also used by keepers as a protein element in sugar glider diets
- 4 lb (1.81 kg)
Feeding
- Feed alone or alongside a canned marmoset diet
- Offer fresh fruit, vegetables and insects for variety and moisture
Good To Know
- Primates are not pets in most jurisdictions and their care is specialist. Check your local law before ordering
- New World primates are prone to metabolic bone disease without adequate vitamin D3 and UV — diet alone is not the whole answer
- Once opened, keep the bag sealed in a cool, dry place; refrigerating it keeps the vitamins in condition for longer
- Always leave fresh, clean drinking water available
