Exotic Nutrition Instant-HPW Original Vanilla Bean - 1lb

The Exotic Nutrition Instant-HPW Original Vanilla Bean is a powdered honey-protein-water (HPW) diet for sugar gliders — add water and it becomes the fresh wet food half of their diet.

Key Features

• Powdered whole egg, honey and whey protein
• Taurine and lysine added, both of which gliders need and fruit does not supply
• Yucca extract, which helps with cage odour
• A 1 lb bag makes around 2 lb of mixed food
• Can be mixed ahead and frozen in portions
• Vanilla bean flavour
• 1 lb (453 g)
• Made in the USA by Exotic Nutrition

How To Mix

• 1 tablespoon of powder is about one serving
• Soup consistency: 1 tablespoon powder to 2 tablespoons water
• Pudding consistency: 1 tablespoon powder to 1 tablespoon water
• Mix by hand or in a blender; serve fresh or freeze in portions

Feeding

• Offer roughly half a tablespoon of mixed HPW alongside a pellet diet and fresh fruit and vegetables
• Adjust the amount to keep your glider at a steady weight

Good To Know

• Take mixed food out of the cage after 12 hours — a wet diet spoils fast and attracts insects
• Keep the powder sealed in a cool, dry place; refrigerate if you are storing it beyond 8 weeks
• HPW is one half of a glider diet, not all of it — pair it with a fortified pellet
• Always leave fresh, clean drinking water available
• Small exotics hide illness well. Weight loss, a change in droppings or refusing food warrants an exotics vet, not a change of treat
