ProDen PlaqueOff Dental Bites Veggie for Medium & Large Dogs - 150g

ProDen PlaqueOff Dental Bites for Medium and Large Dogs is the 150g pouch of ProDen's dog bite, and the pack is unusually specific about how many to give and how long a bag should last.

Key Benefits

• VOHC Accepted - the seal is printed on the pouch, for helping control plaque and tartar.
• A.N. ProDen seaweed, the organically certified active behind the range.
• A veggie recipe - the ingredient panel names seaweed, wheat bran, olive oil, corn, rice, wheat and barley, and no animal ingredient at all.
• A clear feeding table rather than a vague handful.
• 150g pouch, the larger of the two bag sizes.

How Many, And How Long A Bag Lasts

ProDen's own table: a medium dog of ten to twenty-five kilos takes two to four bites a day; a large or giant dog over twenty-five kilos takes four to six. Either way the brand puts this pouch at five to ten weeks.

What ProDen Says The Numbers Are

After a month of daily use, on the brand's published trial: plaque down 32 per cent, tartar down 35 per cent, gingival bleeding down 67 per cent. ProDen notes the time to any result varies between dogs.

Good To Know

• Bites suit a dog that gulps. There is nothing hard to crack, so an animal with a sore mouth or missing teeth can still take one.
• Not recommended for dogs with hyperthyroidism, because seaweed is naturally high in iodine.
• Olive oil sits here where the cat pouches use salmon oil, which is the clearest sign the two ranges are not one recipe in two bags.
• The 60g pouch is the same recipe in a smaller bag for small dogs, not a different product.
