ProDen PlaqueOff Dental Care Bones Bacon Flavour - 482g

ProDen PlaqueOff Dental Care Bones Bacon is the chew version of the range, and the one place where ProDen claims the shape is doing work of its own as well as the seaweed.

Key Benefits

• VOHC Accepted - the seal on the bag, for helping control plaque and tartar.
• Bacon flavour - the red band across the front.
• 13 bones in a 482g bag, sized for medium and large dogs.
• A.N. ProDen seaweed worked through the chew itself.
• Something to actually work at, which a powder and a bite are not.

What The Two In One Badge Means

The bag carries a small panel headed 2 in 1, and it sets out two separate mechanisms: a unique shape that helps clean the teeth, and the seaweed that ProDen says helps eliminate existing plaque, tartar and bad breath. One is the chew rubbing against the tooth; the other is the seaweed arriving through the saliva. The bones are dark, ridged sticks with PlaqueOff pressed into the side.

What Is Actually In Them

Natural kelp, potatoes, sunflower oil, pork liver and flaxseed.

Good To Know

• This page used to call it a small-breed product. It is not, and the bag says the opposite in plain words beside the tooth roundel.
• Not recommended for dogs with hyperthyroidism, on account of the iodine in seaweed.
• Pork liver is on the panel, so it is not one for a dog being kept off pork.
• Supervise the chewing and take the stub away when it gets small enough to swallow whole.
