ProDen PlaqueOff Soft Chews for Cats - 120 Chews, 90g

ProDen PlaqueOff Soft Chews for Cats takes the seaweed out of the powder tub and puts it into something the cat will take from your hand. Two a day is the whole routine.

Key Benefits

• Two chews daily - ProDen's stated dose, the same for every cat, so there is nothing to work out.
• A.N. ProDen seaweed - the same active as the powder and the bites.
• Soft texture rather than a hard biscuit, which tends to matter for an older cat.
• 120 chews in a 90g tub, which ProDen puts at roughly two months of use.
• Reducing plaque, preventing tartar, treating bad breath, the three ticks on the lid.

Chews, Powder Or Bites

All three carry the same seaweed, and the choice is really about the cat. Powder goes into the food and asks nothing of a suspicious animal. Bites are a treat and a reward. The soft chews sit between the two: handed over like a treat, but soft enough for a cat that has stopped enjoying crunching.

What ProDen Says The Numbers Are

From the brand's own trial panel: after a month, 32 per cent less plaque, 35 per cent less tartar and 67 per cent less gingival bleeding, with the time to any visible change varying from cat to cat.

Good To Know

• This tub is the same 90g, the same count and much the same shape as the small-dog tub. Check the band on the lid before you hand one to the wrong animal.
• Not recommended for cats with hyperthyroidism, on account of the iodine in seaweed. Ask your vet first if that applies.
• There is no VOHC seal on this tub, unlike the powder and the large dog chews. Same seaweed, but the acceptance is granted product by product.
• Soft rather than crunchy, which tends to suit older cats whose teeth are already sore.
