Aqua Medic Aqualine T5 Fluorescent Tube - Reef White 15K, 39 W

Aqua Medic aqualine T5 tubes are German-made 16 mm high-output (HO) fluorescent lamps for aquarium light fittings, in colours chosen for reef and other saltwater tanks.

Key Features

• Slim T5 HO: 16 mm tubes give more light per length than older 26 mm T8 tubes when run on a suitable electronic ballast.
• Reef White 15K: a very bright blue-white light for saltwater aquariums, usable as the only light source or together with Reef Blue.
• Reef Blue: gives off almost only blue light between 400 and 500 nm, peaking at 420 nm, which Aqua Medic say supports the growth of many corals.
• Brings Out Coral Colour: running Reef Blue alone for a dawn and dusk period shows off the natural fluorescence of corals.

Models We Hold

• Reef White 15K, 39 W - length 84.9 cm.
• Reef Blue, 54 W - length 114.9 cm.

Good To Know

• Check that your fitting takes T5 HO tubes of the same wattage and length before ordering.
• Reef White and Reef Blue are often used side by side for a natural reef look.
• Fluorescent tubes lose brightness with age, so replace them on a regular schedule rather than waiting for them to fail.
• Switch off and let the tube cool before changing it.
