Aqua Medic Aqualine 10000 Metal Halide Lamp, 150 W

The Aqua Medic aqualine 10000 is a 150 W double-ended metal halide (HQI) lamp for saltwater aquariums, with a large share of its light at the blue end of the spectrum.

Key Features

• Made For Reef Tanks: Aqua Medic designed the aqualine 10000 to copy the light on a coral reef, so corals show their natural colours.
• Blue-Weighted Light: Aqua Medic give it a colour temperature of 13,000 K.
• Stable Colour: twin getters inside the lamp help it keep its colour over its working life.
• RX7s Fitting: a 150 W double-ended lamp with RX7s ends, for fittings with a 150 W metal halide ballast.

Good To Know

• Handle the lamp only by its ends. Fingerprints on the glass can be wiped off with alcohol before use.
• Aqua Medic put the working life of their metal halide lamps at roughly 6,000 to 8,000 hours, about 1.5 years at 10 hours a day. Replace it before then, as output and colour drift.
• Switch off and let the fitting cool fully before changing the lamp.
• Only use it in a fitting with its protective glass in place. Unfiltered metal halide light can burn fish and corals.
