Description
The Aqua Medic Turboflotor 1000 is a compact protein skimmer with a built-in trickle filter, for the sump of aquariums from 500 to 1,000 litres.
Key Features
- Skimmer And Bio Filter: skimmed water runs on into an attached trickle filter filled with Bactoballs.
- Venturi Pump: a pump with needle wheel mixes air and water and pushes it into the 110 mm reaction pipe.
- Long Contact Time: the design gives an intensive air and water mix, and the foam collects in a conical foam cup.
- Compact Size: about 59 cm high, with a footprint of 37 x 15 cm.
Good To Know
- It is made to be installed in a sump.
- A new skimmer can take a week or two to settle in.
- Empty and rinse the foam cup regularly.
- Rinse the trickle filter media only in tank water, so the bacteria survive.
