Description
The Aqua Medic Reef 2000 is a ready-to-use filter system for saltwater aquariums up to 1,500 litres, with a skimmer, calcium reactor, nitrate reductor and top-up system together on one filter tank. Aqua Medic sold it as the Riff 2000.
Key Features
- Filter Tank: with a biological filter of about 100 litres.
- Protein Skimmer: a Turboflotor 5000 Shorty Compact with an Ocean Runner 3500 needle wheel pump.
- Calcium Reactor: a KR 1000 calcium reactor with an SP 3000 dosing pump.
- Nitrate Reductor: an NR 1000 nitrate reductor with an SP 3000 dosing pump.
- Top-Up And Circulation: a refill tank with Niveaumat, and two Ocean Runner 3500 circulation pumps.
Good To Know
- Overall size is 155 x 45 x 65 cm, so measure the cabinet or plant room first.
- Pipe connections are 2 x 25 mm for the flow and 50 mm for the return.
- The calcium reactor needs a CO2 supply, and the nitrate reductor needs a carbon food source such as Denimar.
- It is a large system and is best set up by someone experienced with reef equipment.
