Description
The Aqua Medic midiflotor is an air-driven internal protein skimmer for aquariums up to about 400 litres. It hangs inside the tank and removes dissolved waste as foam before it breaks down.
Key Features
- Counter-Current Design: a double reaction tube keeps the air bubbles in contact with the water for longer.
- Fine Bubbles: a lime wood air diffuser is included.
- Air Driven: runs from an air pump. Aqua Medic recommend their Mistral 300 membrane pump.
- Slim Size: about 7.5 cm across, 52 cm long and 15 cm wide overall, sitting 30 to 35 cm deep in the water.
Good To Know
- The air pump is not included.
- Wooden air diffusers wear out and should be replaced every few weeks to keep the bubbles fine.
- A new skimmer can take a week or two to start producing steady foam.
- Empty and rinse the foam cup regularly.
