Description
The Exotic Nutrition Herbivore Healthy Treat is a mixed vegetable and flower treat for small herbivores.
Key Features
- Sweet potato, carrot, green peas, oats and rose petals
- A source of dietary fibre
- Varied textures, which makes it useful for foraging and scatter-feeding
- Suits chinchillas, rabbits, guinea pigs, prairie dogs and degus
- 3 oz (85 g)
Feeding
- Offer alone, in foraging toys, or mixed into the regular food
- Two or three times a week is plenty
Good To Know
- A small herbivore's diet should run roughly 70% grass hay, 20% fortified pellets and 10% greens and treats — this sits in the last 10%
- Keep treats under about 10% of the daily diet — two or three times a week is a sensible rhythm
- Overfeeding treats causes weight gain. If your pet goes off its main food, stop the treats until it is eating normally again
- This is a treat, not a diet — it does not replace a balanced staple food
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Always leave fresh, clean drinking water available
