Description
The Exotic Nutrition Cricket Crunch Dried Insect Treat is a jar of dried crickets — a high-protein treat for insect-eating pets, without the business of keeping live ones.
Key Features
- Dried crickets, a familiar feeder insect for most insectivores
- High in protein
- Crunchy texture that gives jaws something to work on
- Sprinkle over the usual food, or hide in a foraging toy
- Suits sugar gliders, hedgehogs, reptiles, birds and other insect-eaters
Good To Know
- Keep treats under about 10% of the daily diet — two or three times a week is a sensible rhythm
- This is a treat, not a diet — it does not replace a balanced staple food
- Crickets are low in calcium relative to phosphorus. If insects make up a real share of the diet, dust with a calcium supplement
- Overfeeding treats causes weight gain. If your pet goes off its main food, stop the treats until it is eating normally again
- Store in a cool, dry place
- Always leave fresh, clean drinking water available
