Description
Sera Siporax Professional is a biological filter medium of sintered glass rings, for freshwater and marine aquariums and for ponds. It gives filter bacteria a huge surface to live on.
Key Features
- Sintered Glass: a three-dimensional pore structure inside each ring creates a very large surface area.
- Ideal Home For Bacteria: the fine pores give the bacteria that break down ammonium, nitrite and nitrate the right place to settle.
- Water Flows Through: the pores are interconnected, so water keeps flowing through and the medium cleans itself, giving long intervals between cleaning.
- Any Filter Type: for internal, external and trickle filters, in freshwater, marine and pond set-ups.
Size
- 1 L - 290 g, 15 mm rings, for up to 200 litres
Good To Know
- 1 L (290 g) is enough for aquariums up to 200 litres.
- Rinse it only in tank water when cleaning, never in tap water, so the bacteria survive.
- Do not replace all the media at once. The bacteria need time to grow.
- A starter bacteria product helps a new filter get going faster.
