BackBack

Replacement fine foam for the Exo Terra Repti Clear F350 terrarium filter.

What Fine Foam Does

It is the second mechanical stage. Coarse foam catches the large debris; fine foam catches what gets through — the small suspended particles that leave water looking cloudy. This is the stage that gives you genuinely clear water rather than merely clean water.

It also carries a large share of the filter's beneficial bacteria.

Cleaning and Replacing

  • Rinse in tank water, never under the tap. Chlorine kills the bacterial colony, and the filter stops processing ammonia until it rebuilds over several weeks.
  • Squeeze gently in a bucket of removed tank water and put it back.
  • Replace only when the foam is breaking down or no longer springs back.
  • When you do replace it, do not change other media at the same time.

Compatibility

For the Repti Clear F350 only. Pack of 2. The F250 takes a different size.
