Replacement carbon cartridges for the Exo Terra Repti Clear F250 and F350 terrarium filters — the chemical filtration stage.

What Carbon Does

Activated carbon adsorbs dissolved organic compounds that foam cannot catch: the substances that discolour water and give it a smell. Foam removes solids, bacteria process ammonia, and carbon handles what remains in solution.

When to Replace

Carbon has a finite capacity. Once saturated it simply stops working, with no visible sign — so replace it on a schedule rather than waiting for the water to change. Roughly every 4 weeks, or at each filter service.

Carbon cannot be cleaned and reused; rinsing removes surface debris but does not restore capacity.

Compatibility

Fits both the Repti Clear F250 and F350. Pack of 2.

Servicing Tip

The Repti Clear range is designed for alternate cartridge replacement — change one stage at a time, spaced apart. Replacing everything together strips out the beneficial bacteria doing your biological filtration and the water can spike with ammonia.
